I am putting this list together, 1. So I know what I have/what I need; and 2. So I can add to the "career biography" information. I was assuming that the lists of plays in the "biographies" inside the programs are in the order they happened. As I am finding out, the biographies aren't always accurate. I can't find dates for some of these. The biographies are brief, they won't include everything in them.
If you, have any information to add to this, see any corrections that need to be made, or see any omissions, please let me know.
There's more than just programs on here. I have some relevant theatre books too.
I have tried to construct a complete list of plays, by using the information in the "biographies" in the programs. I have no idea if it is a complete listing and I don't know if they are in the correct order.
Find below, the list of plays, the listing of theatre programs I have, the ephemera I have , and then the listings from the "biographies".
I received excellent service from Mountfield Magazines and Books when I purchased some of the theatre programs below.
[Click here to go back to the "For The Fans" index. Click here to go back to the main "Table of Contents". The "homepage" or "front page" to this website, can be found here.]
If you see a "yes" in the "Have Program?" column, and you want more information on it, please see the chart below this one titled, "Programmes".
If there is no year listed, I have no idea if the listing is in the correct order.
I found some "new" (to me) information via the Internet Movie Database, under "Other works". I'm not sure how accurate the information is, as they list, "Birds of Passage" as being written by, Syd Clayton. The program lists the author as, Hanif Kureishi. Dates below in lime are from the information on the Internet Movie Database. I'm putting the text in that color because I am unsure of the accuracy. [There's one entry on here with the year as a link. I found a reliable source for that info. Click on the link and go to the "University of Glasgow, Special Collections, STA Catalogue - Event Details"; http://special.lib.gla.ac.uk/STA/search/detaile.cfm?EID=8373]

I include the television and movie listings from the biographies. If you know the dates of the movies and television programs, it will help in determining the date of the play. Sometimes a theatre and city where the play was produced, can be learned from the biographies. The only reason I typed all these in, is so "we" could try and figure out the dates of the early work. [Yes! I have frogs in my pockets.] Another thing, "[sic]" means, that the error in spelling or whatever is their's and not mine. I hand typed all this in. Hopefully I got all there was typed in, and I did it without any mistakes. No guarantees though. These biographies aren't entirely accurate as far as the order of things.
(As far as Bridget Jones goes... The official titles of the first two books, are, "Bridget Jones's Diary" and "Bridget Jones The Edge of Reason". At least that's how it is, according to the two U.K. paperbacks by Picador that I got on eBay. [No, I don't plan on reading them all the way through. I got them for another reason.] Well, according to correct American punctuation, the first book's title should be written, "Bridget Jones' Diary". I think this might be correct British punctuation too, but am not sure. Below you will find it written both ways. When I first saw, "Bridget Jones's Diary" I was tempted to put, "[sic]" beside it. Since the book title says, "Bridget Jones's Diary", I put "[sic]" after, "Bridget Jones' Diary". So in essence I am putting "[sic]" beside the grammatically correct way to write the title. Go figure!)
