Index to the Radio Pages

Radio Hobby Title

I am compiling this section from pages that I pulled off our other site plus pages that I moved around on this site.  I am combining all the "radio" stuff into one section.  Of course, you'll have to scroll down the whole length of this page in order to view everything listed.

Some of the links on these pages might be outdated.  But the info. on these pages should serve as a guide anyway.  You can read under the fan pages how to search for things.  If you want to read an article at a link that does not work now, you can always try "other means" to find it.

The "Hand Typed Radio Drama" section was on here. It has moved.  Please see the "Journal".

As of June 27, 2006, Robyn is now KD8DXL !!!!!!!  Yea!!!  You can read more about this via the "Life Lessons" page in the "Journal".

June 21, 2007  I am putting a page of Radio Books in the Library sectionIt is more comprehensive than the listing on the Radio Favorites page.

"Robyn Playing The Radio"-- first video taken with new camera. 2006
The CBC was saying that it was 48°C.  I am not sure if that was in Toronto or Windsor.  I can't remember if I was recording during "local" programming or "national" programming.  The time on the clock appears to say, 20:49UT -- which is around 10 minutes fast. I would have to do some "digging" to figure out what the program was.  Anyway, it was during the "heat wave" of 2006. (By the way,--according to the chart I have by my computer--- 43°C = 110°F and 49°C = 120°F.)

Old Radio I Gave Away

RCA 1-X-55 Radio.  Found in a house.  Radio works.  There is hum when it is played.  There seems to be a "short" in the tuning knob.  The cabinet gets warm if radio is played for long periods.  The cabinet has condition issues due to the heat.  See "Radio For Sale" page for details.  This radio is no longer for sale.

Radio Favorites   Some of my favorite things on short-wave radio.  My favorite Internet Radio stations. And some other "radio" stuff. This is the "general" page about my radio hobby. I even have a list of the old radio books we have in the library.  This page was evidently last updated around May 2004.  The info. might not be 100% accurate. drawing of an old table top tube radio
